A Day Worth Celebrating

Exactly 1 year ago I disembarked from my entire world in New York City and embarked on a far-away gypsy voyage that would change my life forever. I lived on a ship for several months, attended the Winter Olympics, traveled and explored parts of Europe, Asia, and Africa I never thought I'd see, and made lifelong friendships with people from all over the world. I had 4 different employers and turned the big 3-0. I lived back home with my family for the first time since I was 18 and went on a #castillogetaway to the Dominican Republic. I drove across our great nation via Route 66, toured dozens of historic landmarks, and ate through a flood of cultures. I self-soothed, nurtured and restored brokenness, all the while kickin' it beachside in sunny Southern California.

JFK ---> FCO
Where will I be pulled next? Who or what will be placed in my path? The unknown road. All one can do is continue to remain open, learn to embrace the homeostasis, and appreciate those found treasures along the way. Change is one of life's inevitable (and thrilling) constants, and every bit of it has been a gift to my soul. I am thankful, I am present, and I am opting in. You should, too. 3 simple ingredients: Eat + Pray + Love. Yes, Elizabeth Gilbert knows exactly what she's talking about.

Bring it, Universe! May life continue to be fruitful and flow as it should...

“I've come to believe that there exists in the universe something I call "The Physics of The Quest" — a force of nature governed by laws as real as the laws of gravity or momentum. And the rule of Quest Physics maybe goes like this: "If you are brave enough to leave behind everything familiar and comforting (which can be anything from your house to your bitter old resentments) and set out on a truth-seeking journey (either externally or internally), and if you are truly willing to regard everything that happens to you on that journey as a clue, and if you accept everyone you meet along the way as a teacher, and if you are prepared – most of all – to face (and forgive) some very difficult realities about yourself... then truth will not be withheld from you." Or so I've come to believe.”
